Just to eliminate (sometimes it's the simplest things that get us):
The volume slider on the media player is turned up? (not the physical button, but the little software one in the player).

yes everything is turned up even when I  go to the music store is can't hear the preview music button but when I just go to the music Icon page where u see the albums u already paid for the music can be heard. whenI  go to files and scroll down to one of the same songs and the the media play comes up the volume is at 100% u see the button moving across and numbers of minutes of music being played but no sound!

to eliminate a hardware issue:
Try a different media player, like TCMP or CorePlayer or S2P or so.
