Hey Guys. I am waiting for the Sprint TP2 and I know that Sprint has officially anounced their 4G network is coming to Chicago, where I live, by the end of the year. Do you guys know if the TP2 will be able to utilize 4G speeds.

Sorry, don't mean to stray off topic in first reply ... I don't know the answer to your question, but I've got to tell you I'm really looking forward to this type of technology to mature ... combined with the MiFi stations that are now coming out I fordsee a great future for conductivity in my mobile retired life.

I completely agree. The max 4G speeds are actually pretty close to the speeds I get at my house. Its amazing. Instead of keeping my laptop open all day for my torrents, I could just use my phone.
EDIT: I hope it is ok that I state my use of torrents here since using torrents isn't illegal in itself and I am not describing any illegal act in my statement.

As long as you keep the illegal talk out of it then it's ok.

Actually it's only illegal to upload things. Not downloading. NOTE: AT LEAST IN NORWAY!!!

All good and well - let's just get back on topic.
DRM laws are changing by the day right now and all countries are not on the same page yet. The years ahead will bring much change.
Feel free to start a thread in the appropriate forum, just be careful. It's an iffy subject for now.

Well that is definitely a downfall. I wonder why they decided to make it that way. Thanks for the info either way.

Well 4G isnt that large anyway. It is also relatively new. I can deal with 3G, but I just wanted to know if it was possible.

My plan has always been to wait for the TP2/WinMobile 7 combo to come out. As I read more and more about 4G I was thinkng I might wait to see if the TP2 would support 4G. Now knowing it won't I'll go back to the original plan .. the MiFi brick and WiFi capabilities of the TP2 will work just fine for me.

If you're gonna wait for WinMo 7 then I think you should change your combo to the TP3/WinMo 7.

Guess it will just be TP2 and WinMoble 6.5 than .... I think I'll be satisfied.
