How to remove pre installed crap on Tilt 2

I am brand new here.

How can I remove most of the AT&T bloatware that came with the phone?  Remember, I am NEW so I need step by step instructions. 

I went to "remove programs" but most of the ones I want to get rid of don't even populate there.

If they don't show up in the Remove Programs, they are hard coded in the ATT ROM customization.

The only way to get rid of them will be to manually delete them from their directory. If they are write-protected, you will need an app to do so, like TotalComander.

After they are deleted from Program Files & Windows folders, you can delete the registry entries with a registry editor.

But each time you do a Hard Reset (back to factory settings), they will re-install through the ROM.
