Re-Sync contacts

I re-synced with Myphone to "update" new numbers that I had added.... it deleted all of my other contacts that I had and just replaced it with the contacts that had been added.  So, how do I just "update" Myphone to just add new contacts instead of adding them and deleting what I had?  Please help.
