Hello,

I have WM6.5 on a Touch Pro 2

I recently noticed a rather annoying feature of WM. I am not sure if it's new or original, as I've only had the phone for a few weeks.

I am on a messaging program (SMS/MMS or one of my email accts). I close/end the program (I also go to the Task Manager making sure there are no running programs). I go to the Home Screen. I switch the screen off.

A few minutes later, I turn the screen on. Instead of the Home Screen, the last messaging account is open, staring at me!

It's not that important, as I would simply X on top right and go to the Home Screen. But rather annoying. Interestingly, it doesn't happen all the time either. Sometimes I turn the screen on and the Home Screen is right there.

Thoughts appreciated

Curious if you lock your screen?  If not, your TP2 could get bumped and things get pressed, etc...

I like the new slide to unlock on mine...works really well.

Many thanks for the quick response

As soon as the screen is turned off, the TP2 does not respond to any touches or push-arounds, so it's unlikely this is the issue. Just in case, I did try it with the screen lock and it's still there... after I unlock it!

I'm not sure if it's a TP2 issue or a WM issue

Any further views welcome

PS: it appears that this is an identical issue that remains unresolved:

I'm thinking it's a ROM issue - since only certain phones seem to exhibit this glitch. Maybe it's time for a custom ROM?

Thank you for your response

I'm not so sure about non-stock ROMs - it appears that each of them may come with their own little bugs...

It would be more preferable to find a fix for this rather than wipe out the original ROM. Any other bright ideas welcome, but I would be rather nervous to drastically change a 300 quid phone...
