Installing Applications (Apps) on your Device.
* Download the file to your PC.
If it ends in .zip or .rar: * extract them (winrar)
If the file ends in .exe: * connect your device to the PC via USB cable to Active Sync; * Double click the .exe file; * Installation will begin. Follow onscreen PC instructions. * Finish installation on your device by selecting where you want to install the file (device/storage) and tap "install"; * click OK and soft-reset your device - done!
If the file ends in .cab: * connect your device to the PC via USB cable to Active Sync; * From ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center click to explore / browse contents of your device; * Copy .cab file from PC loacation and paste into Phone's storage card or My Documents on Device; * Disconnect Phone from PC; * Through your phone's File Explorer, locate the new .cab file; * Tap on it; * Choose installation location (device/storage card) and tap "install"; * Click OK and soft-reset your device - done!
(* you can safely delete the .cab file from your device, if you are short on storage. Personally, I created a folder on my storage card "Cabs" from which I can quickly install all my applications, in case of a hard-reset in the future.)

Full name: Goldfish.cab Error: (well im not good to translate it to english, but i try ) There was a fail in MyGoldfish.exe. choose shutdown, and then genstart the program, or choose details for more info. The program needs a newer version of Microsoft(R) .NET Compact Framework than this version, which is installed.

Some programs are not compatible with MS 6.1 and will give you this exeption. This looks to me however, as if you don't have .net compact framework 3.5 installed.
To intall it, you need to connect your phone to the pc and install the 3.5 through the pc

Search is your friend! The more you use it, the better you get at it! Just Google: ".net compact framework 3.5" It's the very first link! You will find a lot of usefull apps in our Master Applications thread: http://www.alltouchpro2.com/index.php?topic=120.0.net compact framework is the very first on in the list. Check out our Search feature for the forum as well. It's on the top bar and responds great!

can you tell me which .exe file you are trying to install? Maybe it's the app? If not, we'll try a step by step.

Thanks for helping! Hm.. I cant recall which one I was installing. I've tried a couple and it did not work. So this might be a dumb question but not ALL .exe files work right? Either way the apps I was trying to install came from sites like "freewarepocketpc" When I find it I'll see if you can help me out. Thanks again
